The Charger ID could be a name or a number, and varies by charging network.
ChargePoint:
ChargePoint charger IDs are usually a combination of text and numbers. The text is similar for all chargers at a single station, but the numbers are different for each individual charger.
For e.g. you might see charger IDs in this format at one location:
RINCON CENTER / STATION 1
RINCON CENTER / STATION 2
The charger ID will always be at the top of the charger display screen:
EVgo:
EVgo charger IDs are usually names. In addition to the name you might sometimes see Left or Right on the Presto app, indicating the connector side the vehicle must be plugged into.
For e.g. you might see charger IDs in this format at one location:
OCEA
MARINEL
TAMIL
ZELIA
Each charger has a unique name that can be seen right above the charger display:
EVCS:
EVCS charger IDs are always numbers and are referred to as station IDs. Each EVCS charger has at least 1 QR code sticker with the Station ID right underneath the QR code. Always look for the QR sticker if you are having trouble finding the station ID.
